About this cartoon: The election of Donald Trump as president came in part because so many citizens bought into his angry populism, his promises to "drain the swamp" in Washington DC and look out for the interests of middle- and lower-class workers. But Trump clearly was willing to say anything to get elected, whether he meant it or not, and his early moves and Cabinet picks showed a blatant skewing toward the very rich, ultra-conservatives and Goldman Sachs banker types, with healthcare for millions immediately at risk and Medicare and Social Security coming into the crosshairs... probably not at all what many of his gullible voters thought they were buying into.
